Independence for people with learning disabilities

AutonoMe enables organisations to effectively communicate with people who have Learning Disabilities

There are over one million adults in the UK with learning disabilities, who can often struggle to achieve tasks we all take for granted such as cooking, cleaning, reading literature, maintaining personal hygiene and more. Responsibility for providing assistance rests with a variety of organisations and this care provision can be inconsistent.

AutonoMe supports users’ independence and develops life skills, in turn building self-confidence, reducing anxiety and opening up new opportunities. Subscription-based, AutonoMe provides comprehensive user-led training by scanning any household item with a smart device which will then play a video of how to use it. Live data tracking helps care providers assess effectiveness and conduct ongoing needs analysis. The concept is already being used across the South West.
